Afi is licensed per protected user account. You can choose to license all or only a subset of users. There are no charges for archived users (deleted from the source platform), and custom pricing is available for protecting primarily SharePoint/Shared Drives.

The user's backup data remains securely stored in Afi. The user status automatically changes to 'Archived', and their data can still be accessed, searched, previewed, restored, or exported without requiring an active license.
