FAQs

  • Does Birdy offer PPP-adjusted pricing for countries with lower purchasing power?
Sure thing! DM me @maximehugodupre and I'll get that sorted out quickly.
  • Is it really A/B testing?
Birdy uses a method called "switchback testing". Instead of bucketing a profile visitor to experiment A or B, Birdy alternates between "treatment" and "control" periodically. In other words, Birdy buckets groups of profile visitors over time, rather than individual profile visitors. This approach of split testing has been popularized by DoorDash. In many ways, switchback testing is exactly like A/B testing, but instead of randomizing based on something like deliveries, we randomize based on time-region units. —DoorDash The new Twitter API pricing changes prevents Birdy from doing any sort of rigourous A/B testing without having to pay $42,000 per month. Therefore, Birdy can only tell you how each profile version performs in terms of followers and ignores what is usually the main measure of success: conversion rate.
  • Do I need multiple accounts?
No, Birdy works with a single account! It uses the Twitter API to update your profile with the versions you provide.
  • Can I test my pinned tweet?
Unfortunately, Birdy is unable to conduct A/B tests on pinned tweets as the Twitter API currently lacks the ability to update them. Hopefully it will be added in the future.
