  • I do not have a sitemap. Can I still train my bot?
    Yes. Even though sitemaps offer an easy way to detect pages across your website, you can add your homepage as an alternative. SiteCompanion will automatically detect internal links to other pages and will parse those as well. This is limited to 20 pages.
  • Can I customize that chatbot to my needs?
    Yes, we provide customization options for chatbot appearance and behavior to align with your brand and user preferences.
  • What is a data source?
    A data source is a document or web page SiteCompanion uses to train your bots. One web page or one PDF is considered a data source. A sitemap can contain multiple web pages, one of each will count as a data source to your plans limits.
  • How are incoming messages counted?
    A user's message to your chatbot is counted as one incoming message. This can be a question to which your bot answers, or a short message to which no valid answer is given. Every incoming messages results in a response from your chatbot. Bot responses do not count to your monthly quota.
  • Can you parse my JavaScript rendered content?
    Yes. Our powerful webpage parser executes javascript and parses the result. This means that JS generated content is processed without any problem. In fact, the page you are looking at is fully generated by JavaScript.
